Hyatt Place Evansville / Downtown

The line staff made this visit 5 stars. Unfortunately, the managers made it 4 stars. We rolled in just before 9 pm on a Sunday evening and, I think his name was Herbert, was a delightful desk agent. We had no reservation and I couldn't remember my company discount code but he was cool, calm, and incredibly helpful and kind. Nothing was a problem for him. As expected, the room was tip top. A nice king with view of downtown (let's be real, that means the buildings and parking lots around, but it was still cool). The bed was so comfy we wished we had either arrived sooner or stayed later. Clean and fresh. In the morning, the desk agent and breakfast attendant were so friendly greeting us with pep and cheer. When I was carrying food to bring upstairs to my husband, the gal came and found me to give me a tray without my asking, she just noticed the help I could use! Also in the morning we observed and walked through three managers who didn't so much as acknowledge us. One I believe was conducting interviews and in between, while another was a bit loud throwing ice away then counting the drawer right there at the desk with guests to see, and the third, a woman, was talking to them as we apparently walked through their conversation. Then we saw her in an office behind the desk later. It was just sad to have the line staff providing great hospitality and feel like we were invading the managers space all in the lobby. If the staff are that good, the managers are probably better than the appearance they gave, as this was just our one encounter. Overall we would 100% stay here again.

I am a Hyatt member and use this location every time I travel to Henderson for work. It's my go to spot. The rooms are clean and spacious, the staff is always friendly and amazing, and you can't beat the location. It's in walking distance of both Main Street where restaurants and High Score Saloon is (recommend if you like arcade games and pinball). As well as in walking distance to the river and Haynies corner. I typically don't eat breakfast in general but I do when I stay here. It has a variety and it changes depending on the day. Their snack bar is limited so I recommend you getting snacks prior to arrival. However their restaurant, though limited, can address hunger. Lol

My FAVORITE & ONLY place to stay when I come to Evansville. The property is extremely clean and well kept, but it is the staff that will make your stay! Every member of staff that I have had interactions with, from management to housekeeping, has exceeded my expectations! The breakfast has a lot of options and is delicious. They truly know what it means to be in the hospitality business.

It is a beautiful, modern appointed hotel with all the amenities one needs for a night or a week. While the menu is a bit limited, there is an on-site kitchen and dining area for lunch or dinner. Breakfast is included and seems fresh with the standards like scrambled eggs, breakfast meats, fruit, breads and pastries, and oatmeal and dry cereals. We stay at this location often, and the staff is EXCELLENT!
